Always use the proper dialect when talking to your folks!
So when your fake voice talks to them in proper language, they know immediately that it isn’t you.
At least for a few more years, and at least in Europe, where dialects are still strong and dialect regions super small, this is a strong protection.
Also a good idea to have a password or code phrase. This is something that’s been advised for child abductions for years now.
“Your mom sent me to pick you up.”
“What’s the password?”
“. . .”
This would work with my mother but my dad is terrible when it comes to this stuff.
He’ll send me the most obvious scam email the world has ever seen asking me if it’s legitimate, It will it will be some IRS scam wanting him to pay back $10,000 with Apple gift cards, I’m like dad, you’re not even American.
Simpsons did an episode on this years ago. It was a whole episode dedicated to common scams.
