I don’t want to stray too far from the mainstream stuff.
Debian it’s a rock solid base that can be updated automatically with minimal user oversight
Hmmm… Color me intrigued. I never thought of a Debian + KDE combination… And I’m partial to Debian systems.
Yeah I use debian + kde for decades. Debian will install your pick of DEs at install.

Are you selfhosting on your Desktop? What exactly is the use case? I’d recommend different distros for a server or a desktop.
