“Loneliness epidemic” would be too easy of an answer. Other than that, I think the darkest reality of the “modern” world is that there is still barbarism everywhere you look. People get killed for bs, the poor get poorer due to the greed of the rich ones, the innocent suffer hell on earth.

Sooner than you think you will die. And only at that point will you realize that you spent most of your life depressed about bullshit rather than actually living in the moment and enjoying your life
