The name of a non-profit that I truly believe in is just going to shit. The reason of banning a nazi troll that we warned you had alts as “userbase request” is at most disgusting. I was here making stuff because I believe in what you do as am org.
That being said, STOP SPINNING UP INSTANCES YOU ARE NOT WILLING OR CAPABLE OF MANAGING
After that nonsense yesterday and an untagged furry porn community showing up on my feed today, I’m one shitpost away from blocking this instance. Most of the users seem like decent people, but I do not want to consume that content or lose my job because some nosy ass saw a thumbnail of anthropomorphic “girlcock” on my screen, I have NSFW blocked for a reason.
At least the admins seem awake now. I’ve really bothered them in every way I can. 1 hour is wayyy better than more than a day. And if it happens, I don’t think any of us would be mad. The content here is very specific to us.

It just goes to show you what we can accomplish by banding together and bargaining with SDF collectively. To that end, on behalf of the user base, I’d like to demand a one-time payment of $500 to wesker and of 500 girlcocks to myself.
Yeah, accurate and correct are different ideas, though. If they don’t do drastic things, they may even face legal stuff soon.

I agree, this is stupid. Why should we settle for a server where the admin won’t even apply updates on time or fix bugs in a timely manner. Let alone moderate their instance properly.

We need sign up barriers at the least. As well as community creation barriers.

One idea I had would be that they could require accounts to have SDF emails, that would basically require people to have Validated TTY accounts, I believe social.sdf.org does this. They could also accomplish the same thing by closing registration completely and having it be solely managed via the Maint command in the TTY shell.
