- Comment on US and allies accuse North Korea and Russia of flagrantly violating UN sanctions in military deals 5 days ago:
Did they expect two heavily sanctioned countries to concern themselves with what does and does not violate those sanctions? Nearly every country supporting Russia’s war effort is under heavy sanctions. This is a completely predictable outcome, and anyone with decision-making authority surprised by this is too incompetent for their role.
- Comment on Developing nations face 'tidal wave' of China debt: report 1 week ago:
The US is also $35 trillion in debt and climbing.
- Comment on King Charles III arrives in Canada to underscore its sovereignty after Trump annexation threats 1 week ago:
The fact that people are still supporting monarchies in 2025 is absolutely goofy. They are outright leaches.
- Comment on US Trump ambushes South African president Ramaphosa over 'genocide' accusation 1 week ago:
This is his new move, I hope world leaders are taking notes and will act accordingly. Nobody should meet with him going forward, as he is creating these ambushes for the camera where he just yells over them because he knows they’ll still try to act reasonable.
- Comment on Common diabetes drug helps chickens lay more eggs 1 week ago:
Can we just not? Humanity really was a mistake.
- Comment on Trump unveils plans for 'Golden Dome' missile shield for US 2 weeks ago:
Russia, China, and North Korea are states with nukes pointed at the US. The US has nukes pointed at them as well, of course. There is the possibility for weapons (conventional or otherwise) to be deployed closer to the US as well by many states. I’m not saying I agree with spending money on this nor the message it sends, but the idea is not completely baseless.
- Comment on Trump's deference to Putin stunned European leaders on call 2 weeks ago:
Serious people need to stop allowing trump to insert himself into these situations. He is not capable of navigating these situations and will only cause more lives to be lost while he wastes everyone’s time.
- Comment on UK, France, Canada threaten ‘concrete actions’ if Israel does not halt fighting, boost aid 2 weeks ago:
That’s what I’m afraid of. The generational trauma and illness they’ve already caused will last decades (minimum) as it is.
- Comment on UK, France, Canada threaten ‘concrete actions’ if Israel does not halt fighting, boost aid 2 weeks ago:
I’m curious what these “concrete” actions would be. We know force is off the table, so, sanctions?
- Comment on American 2 weeks ago:
🤣 Spot on.
- Comment on American 2 weeks ago:
If you believe Americans think about the opinions of people from countries they’ll never visit, then you haven’t met many Americans.
- Comment on Based 3 weeks ago:
Sure, sure. I highly doubt this quote is real, though the author being Japanese and saying this character is “tan” so they can see “cute brown girls” cosplaying does not make it better. It is also almost certain that all the commenters and upvoters of this trash are white.
- Comment on Based 3 weeks ago:
The absolute caucasity on display here. POC are not a fucking fetish.
- Comment on Trump's US to resettle white South Africans 'within days' 3 weeks ago:
“Racism” against afrikaners, that’s rich. A people whose entire history is about how goddamn racist they are. If only the lies about stripping their land from them were true, it’s the least they deserve.
- Comment on ‘AI is already eating its own’: Prompt engineering is quickly going extinct 4 weeks ago:
“Prompt engineering.” 🤣
“AI” really brings out the goofies, and their even goofier targets lap it up.
- Comment on Trump says ordering '100% tariff' on all movies produced abroad 4 weeks ago:
Careful there, trumpy boy, you’re fucking with your own propaganda machine. The US government gets to dictate movie scripts and values in exchange for allowing access to military equipment and vehicles, though dipshit probably isn’t even aware. How can a group be so incompetent at being intentionally awful human beings?
- Comment on Trump orders rebuilding and reopening of defunct US prison Alcatraz 4 weeks ago:
Alcatraz is about messaging and symbolism, not any practical purpose. We already have a highly developed and funded prison industrial complex with very effective supermax prisons that prevent escape. Alcatraz was notorious for its cruelty, though I’m pretty sure it was the last location of a “successful” supermax escape in the US. Alcatraz was shit down for a reason, and it wasn’t due to any humanitarian concerns. This old man is just reliving his childhood tales of danger and daring that he grew up with while sending a message of cruelty and disregard for humanity at the same time.
- Comment on US designates two Haitian gangs as terror groups 4 weeks ago:
I’m in the “death before El salvador” gang, personally.
- Comment on EU wins post-Brexit fishing row with Britain 4 weeks ago:
Well, isn’t that great! Fish the species into oblivion and decimate the ecosystem!
- Comment on Kansas wants to use AI to spot guns in schools. One major company won’t say how often the system fails 4 weeks ago:
This feels like when fire alarms go off at work. Literally, no one gives a shit. There are a few people who basically go “fuck yeah, I’m gonna go stand outside until someone collects me,” but most just continue with whatever it was they were doing. This is not the attitude you want emergency services having towards reports of active shooters.
- Comment on Russia Builds Up Military Bases Along Finland Border, Satellite Images Show 5 weeks ago:
That isn’t great for anybody. Hopefully, the rumors about putin’s health are true, and his successor is less interested in territorial expansion.
- Comment on Microsoft pitches pay-to-patch reboot reduction subscription for Windows Server 2025 5 weeks ago:
“Should we provide better customer service?”
“Naw, fuck’em”
- Comment on Zelenskyy: Missile that killed 12 in Kyiv made with 116 foreign components, majority US-made 5 weeks ago:
While it isn’t the top export by gdp, we are the largest exporter of arms. Furthermore, much of our top exports are vital in carrying out warfare, including oil. You may not have been completely serious, but you weren’t far from the mark.
- Comment on NASA's Dragonfly nuclear-powered helicopter clears key hurdle ahead of 2028 launch toward huge Saturn moon Titan 5 weeks ago:
This is a really cool mission! I’m glad they’re on track, and I hope it will be like the rover and last longer than the years planned.
- Comment on China cancels 12,000 metric tons of US pork shipments 5 weeks ago:

- Comment on US | Trump backs defence secretary after reports of second Signal chat leak 1 month ago:
It’s incredible that this administration fails to meet even the lowest bar of competence. Fortunately, that is often, though not always, to the benefit of everyone outside the death cult.
- Comment on Pakistan begins second national polio vaccination drive to protect 45mln children 1 month ago:
Well, I’m just glad my government contributed to and validated these militants’ claims so they could execute a renal patient who went off the reservation after they funded and trained him. Now, children can continue to suffer and die from this entirely preventable disease.
- Comment on China issues travel warning for US 1 month ago:
I wouldn’t advise anyone not interested in a camp stay to travel here atm.
- Comment on Sovereign citizen who kidnapped her child sentenced to two years' jail 2 months ago:
Interesting. I know in the US they are closely tied to white supremacists, though there’s been some branching out.
- Comment on Sovereign citizen who kidnapped her child sentenced to two years' jail 2 months ago:
I didn’t know this flavor of dumbass was international, I thought we only grew them in the US. Though, given the beliefs, I suppose it really could be adapted anywhere.
