Me too! I consider this guy to be an inspiration.
This OLED video and this video in particular I found to be really inspiring. He is a guy with a good amount of industry experience practicing hobby science at a high level. Since I am a hobbyist myself, I look at him and think “Yeah, that’s me in 30 years! There’s hope!!”. In a sense, it is freeing to see evidence that one can play with very interesting concepts even outside of both academia and industry if they choose to.
I like to watch youtubers that focus on concepts that would be dangerous and/or difficult to explore without some technical knowledge and specialized tools. Some I can recommend are:

Thanks for the reply! Yeah this dude is on an entirely higher level than other hobby science channels thanks to his expertise. Thanks for the other recommendations too, although Styropyro is already one of my favorites and I’ve already watched a good number of Integza’s videos lol. Will check out PlasmaChannel for sure.
