Is pixelfed.sdf.org fully working? I'm not receiving my confirmation email to sign up.

    I ended up using 10 minute mail and that worked for me.

      I used my phone carrier email, but I haven’t actually used pixelfed since verifying. Not sure if there’s anything there for me.

      I like the tidy forum format and experience that Reddit/lemmy brings. My brain has never been able to make sense of how to benefit from twitter, mastodon, Instagram, tiktok, etc.

      My Gmail account will absolutely not show me any emails from sdf pixelfed, so I just changed my pixelfed email to my phone number @ my carriers email/sms bridge domain, and that let me confirm my account.

    I hadn’t seen that there was an instance now so this inspired me to go check it out, thanks! I thought I had the same issue, but it turns out that the email was just getting tagged as spam seemingly because of no SPF, so DMARC fail.

        Gsuite, but I presume regular gmail would have the same behavior. If it helps, mine was from pixelfed@pixelfed.sdf.org with the subject: “Confirm Email”

    It was working for me about 10 minutes ago. Uploaded an image and saved and avatar. (I’d already made an account maybe a year ago.)

    But now: 504 Gateway Time-out :(

        Just our instance. I signed up today and the instance keeps on going to a 504 Gateway Timeout. The main instance (pixelfed.social) works fine. I might switch.

        I’m on a smaller one and it seems to be absolutely groaning under the weight. I’m gonna try again in a few weeks after things have stabilized.

    Ohh same! I asked in IRC and was asked to email in, which I’ve already done. I’m waiting for an admin at this point.

      I was able to confirm that sdf’s pixelfed will send and confirm emails, by using a different email provider other than Gmail.
