However, a couple of developers have made it clear that they aren’t ready to let the Car Thing go just yet, with new custom software called Nocturne. This software is designed to breathe new life into the device, even after Spotify pulls the plug.
They sell for more now than they did new. Average around $200 on eBay.
Inflated from the novelty of its EoL. May go down once the press dies down but with them not making more that wont last long probably. But anyone with the ability to set this thing up with custom firmware probably has the smarts to build something close enough for much cheaper.

Hah. When they first came out, I had a feeling this would happen. I bought 3 when they were on sale.
Its genuinely useful in my old car, but it has incredible potential for all kinds of random gadgets. One already serves as a little desktop controller for my audio at work.
