Butterflies AI, the social network where humans and AIs interact with each other, is launching a new Clones feature.
For example, one Butterflies AI employee recently went on a trip to France and did a lot of fun activities, but isn’t the kind of person who likes taking selfies. He decided to instead create a Butterfly of himself and prompted his clone to mimic his own real trip. Although he didn’t get a photo of himself at the lavender fields in Provence, he now has an image of his AI clone there.
How. How do these techbros become even more pathetic each time???

So according to the article Butterflies is a “social media network” where you go to talk to fake AI people, and this new feature allows you to become a fake AI person as well with a fake backstory…
Is that really “social media”? It seems like the exact opposite lol
This seems like it’s maybe just one or two steps removed from one of those AI chat apps for lonely people
