Offshore wind is especially bad because the turbines need a foundation, sticks to the ocean floor. Then there is the transmission line problem. Since Biden likes to sanction the planet, the parts to make turbines are more expensive. Nobody took the leases for offshore wind on the Greater Houston coast.
I just see wind as not being that great compared to other technologies. Every time I’ve seen a field of them. Many are broken.

A significant portion of New York’s electricity is produced by burning natural gas and fuel oil. There are multiple hidden costs that fossil fuel advocates don’t want you to think about: www.ucsusa.org/…/hidden-costs-fossil-fuels
One of the objections to reducing emissions in the US came in the question “why should we pay more for everything and reduce emissions when China and other developing countries do whatever they want?” I think this is a valid question, tho not a valid excuse to dump more CO2 into the atmosphere. But it makes me think of a similar question:
Why should the rest of us finance New York’s cheap power at the expense of our environment?

Even if you thought that paying extra was worth saving the environment, the wind farm is making $54 per MWH in profit. A 30% profit margin with all those subsidies is obscene.

Now you speak directly to my socialist heart and I can not disagree.
