According to user Pirat_Nation on Twitter, "GOG wants to bring physical PC games back."
Pirat_Nation's report continues:
The idea is to let players buy boxed versions of games directly from their GOG library and have them delivered to their homes.
“We need to think about logistics. We need to think about storage,”
The company would also need approval from publishers to produce and sell physical copies.
GOG has been discussing the idea for years, but there are still plenty of challenges to overcome.
“I really hope that at some point we will be able to do it,”
No source mentioned though.

If it’s full blown 90s box art with a CD and the same price as the game you already bought, that would be terrible.
If it’s something archivial quality that has a reasonable expectation to last and be installable for decades and is (mostly) a flat fee, that would be pretty cool.
Although you could still do it yourself more efficiently.
