I just got Ubuntu Touch (24.04-2.x, v806) installed on my phone (Fairphone 4) and playing around with Waydroid at the moment. I have some questions regarding my current experience to see if there are some things I have misunderstood, or things I should report as bugs etc.
- Apps installed through Waydroid does not automatically appear in my UT app drawer. From what I read they are supposed to? I could get them to show using Waydroid Helper, however, they sometimes double up (duplicates are removed with an app drawer refresh) or disappear altogether (only way I've gotten them back in this case is to toggle visibility again in Waydroid Helper).
- I don't seem to be able to pin any of the Waydroid apps to my UT task bar - is that something I should be able to do somehow?
- In the application switcher in UT, the first Waydroid application I launch (which then starts the Waydroid container) gets the correct application icon and name, but any subsequent applications I launch seems to get a generic Waydroid-icon and the name "Waydroid". Is there a way to make them all have proper icons and names?
- I can't seem to get landscape mode in Waydroid, so for instance when watching videos through Freetube Android, I was unable to rotate it, even in full screen mode. Am I supposed to be able to do this? I did at one point launch Waydroid full screen UI from the terminal while the phone already was in landscape mode, which resulted in a pretty weird UI.

I just tested this and could not see such problem, I launched the photo app, turned the phone and could take a photo in landscape.
@gpatel-fr Same for me, rotations works fine.
