  Ghosh is among the 11 Indian or Indian-origin students who have died in the US so far this year, sparking fears about personal safety within the community.

  Can’t find figures for this year, but last year the homicide total was 18,456

  So this is %0.005 of all murders in the US from a group that is 0.078% of the total population*

  This is alarmist fear mongering.
