Comment on If "Master/Slave" terminology in computing sounds bad now, why not change it to "Dom/Sub"?
maniii@lemmy.world 2 months agoYes PATA IDE was the full old term. Now we have SATA ( SCSI ? or IDE? i dont remember ) .
PATA = Parallel - ATA SATA = Serial - ATA
