hendrik@palaver.p3x.de 2 months agoWell, there definitely aren't any dislikes. But you're right with the "Like Activity". I missed that, but it's in the standard. I'm not sure though how it works, as there is more to it. On Mastodon we have boosts which do kind of a different thing. And I remember there had to be some work done to make Lemmy and Mastodon interoperate smoothly. I'm unsure if they're bot the thing that is in the standard, anyways.

No, as I said, there are Likes and Dislikes. You can see the Dislike object in the standard here. ActivityPub is composed of various different standards that all come together to form a federation system.
Likes are defined as being added to the Liked collection, which is essentially votes. It’s all just what you call a vote or a like, it’s just semantics. It is definitely part of the standard.
