Reminds me of people suggesting the MeetUp app, but when I looked into it they had a paywall. I can’t afford 14.99 a month to use app that might make me connections.

Meetup.com was always free for attendees, the organizers pay the fees
Apparently not because he asked me to give it my credit card and 7 day free trial with no way pass it.

Just checked and while they have gated some features behind plus free tier is still there. Use the site instead of the app
