Have you removed the drain pump yet? Chances are there is a piece of bone, glass, cherry pit, crayon, zip tie, bread tag logged in there.

Not yet. I still need to figure out where to find it and how to remove it.
I’m guessing I will need to open the dishwasher from the back?

You gota slid out the dishwasher from under the counter an lay it down the pump is at the bottom. Disconect the drain hose before you pull it out. Depending on if the guy that installed it was a dick or not he might have left enough wire so you can pull out with out disconnecting the wires. Just put the breaker to off. It will spill water so be ready for that. When you open the door look along the side, inside the dishwasher you will probably find atleast 2 small rubber plugs. Pull em out there will be screws that you need to remove. They keep the dishwasher in place by screwing into cabinet on each side. The pump typically just twists off might have a lock tab that needs to be pried up.
