The election cycle is only 4 years long? It was forgotten by then.
Reagan won so many states because Mondale was extremely unpopular. He was Carter’s VP, and Carter had been successfully painted as our weakest president by Republicans. Mondale also gave a speech where he said he would raise taxes.
