PoorAristocat@lemmynsfw.com 10 months agoSlowly cut down over the span of a month or two. I used to be the same and now i rarely wash my hair, I just rinse it often and it stays nice (nicer than it ever was before).

Eventually your scalp starts regulating oil production properly and you don’t end up with greasy hair the very next day.

The greasiness is a reaction of your scalp to the amount of detergent it gets. I almost never shampoo, I just wash with warm water every other day… after a little while my body stopped overreacting and my hair wasn’t as greasy anymore. I even add a teaspoon or two of coconut oil after the occasional shampoo, so that my hair doesn’t dry up.
