@VWDasher @bookstodon Thank you. I know that reading goals can really help motivate a lot of readers, if the books they want to read are available.
The hardest part about reading goals for me, this year, is having no idea when the books I have on hold will become available. Sure, I have plenty to read in the interim, but I'm gonna ditch those in favor of the ones I'm waiting on, every time.
And it's killing me that it's too early to get in the hold line for upcoming books by:
Chuck Wendig
Alix E. Harrow
Nghi Vo
Silas House
Annalee Newitz
Min Jin Lee
Deeshaw Philyaw
Courtney Gould
Lydia Millet
Becky Chambers
Cassandra Khaw
Ayad Akhtar
Stephen Graham Jones
Alma Katsu
Naomi Alderman
Tananarive Due
Leigh Bardugo
China Miéville
Emily St. John Mandel
Jodi Picoult
Kate Atkinson
Ariel Lawhorn
R.F. Kuang
James Islington
Natasha Pulley
Alexandra Bracken
Téa Obreht
L. Penelope
I mean, that's a dynamite pack of author's new books to chase down. But, I'm ready
@kimlockhartga @VWDasher @bookstodon I do the same thing when books come in from a hold!
@kimlockhartga @bookstodon just work through it, you've got time!
I've got a stack of books by my bed, slowly working through it all.
@VWDasher @bookstodon Absolutely!
@kimlockhartga
I find the hardest bit is to not constantly grow the stack beyond what's possible.... But I keep on finding new nooks and crannies, where my latest haul can wait to be read....
