MindTraveller@lemmy.ca 2 months agoI dunno mate, seems like I’m the only one in this thread who actually has a source from a native american. @Vytle@lemmy.world talks a big game about respecting native americans and elevating their voices, while denying the existence of the issues they care about and talking over them. Maybe Vtyle should try listening to the people they claim to represent instead of deciding what indigenous people think for them.

You are grouping all indigenous people together by saying “denying the existence of issues they care about and talking over them” I emplore you, who is “they”? Are you implying that all native Americans hold the same beliefs? That they are the same people? I also never claimed to represent native Americans. I would never speak for a culture or peoples I don’t belong to.
