Big thumbs up to AniList. As a newer anime fan, I appreciate the feel a lot more than MAL. The MAL-Sync browser add-on can also sync between the two services, so if you want to keep your MAL up to date or bring it’s data over to AniList, it can help you with that. Also, it will automatically track what you watch, though it’s in a browser, not an app.

anilist.co has you covered, the mobile site is decent unless you really really need an app. If by ranking you mean like a 1st, 2nd, 3rd system that's independent of score, then I guess you could use the custom notes fields or custom lists?

I might have to check that out. I’ve been using Aluminium, but it’s only on the Play Store and not open source.
