It was not even possible to export energy from one side to the other after the tsunami

Neato. Apparently it had to do with when each grid bought its starting supplies. Generators bought from the US were 60hz and Germany were 50.

In the same idea, those geniuses in Texas aren’t connected to the national grid to be free from federal regulation.
Add the UK is not synchronous with the continent so the ‘NEMO’ link has to operate in direct current (bidirectional 1GW or so…)
