No. If it isn’t moving, they don’t really see them as prey to capture. I can sometimes trick the lizard with a dead cricket, but the spider is much more selective.
I should mention I have a jumping spider, not the typical web-spinning spider.
Jumpers are fascinating. So much personality in a small package. Other spiders are zero to attack in one second, maybe some chill exploring in between. Jumpers seem genuinely curious and interactive.
