dual_sport_dork@lemmy.world 2 weeks agoA populace full of well-fed, financially secure, educated and literate, and medically cared for people is significantly less likely to go around shooting each other than the clusterfuck we’ve got going on now. Violence, gun related or otherwise, doesn’t just happen in a vacuum.

The US has a gun violence problem, but that’s mostly due to the fact that the US has a general violence problem. If guns were the while problem, then we wouldn’t also have more stabbings than most developed countries.
