You could look into an opensource project like en.openscan.eu depending on how “small” these parts actually are.

It requires some initial printing as well as some hardware kit purchases (provided) for the servo and controller board, but I saw a demo on youtube once that provided surprisingly good point cloud accuracy from one of these OpenScan pedestals. Better than you’ll ever get from a freehand smartphone/iPad scan.
