I like that it’s pretty random, you care about it and people seem to like it as a miscellaneous talking place.
I don’t like that posts that could go in more suitable communities just get dumped here. It doesn’t do you any favors either, for example maybe someone specifically doesn’t like your news posts, so they block your entire community as a result, even though news posts are just a tiny part of it. If news posts were posted in their appropriate news community, then users could just block that specific content more easily, for example.

Dmt is and always will be a free speech place under my power, i won’t ban anyone or anything, but me personally…. It wasn’t that long ago we were acting as the hard right vanguard of lemmy… those days may be done but the goal and spirit remains…. I can only control myself, i refuse to restrict others

That’s cool, I’m not suggesting that you start banning or removing anything, rather that it makes sense to use the relevant communities for content that fits there, so news in news communities, questions in the ask community, etc.
If someone posts them here instead that’s fine too, obviously nobody’s strictly enforcing that, but it’s a suggestion that would make HC better overall and my 2 cents for what I like and dislike.
