nutomic@lemmy.ml 2 months agoNot true, at this point it seems inevitable that Lemmy will get even bigger. And that’s a good thing in my opinion. But that doesn’t mean it can encompass all different use cases. It’s normal that there will be forks and alternatives, just look at all the different microblogging projects on the Fediverse.

I only wanted to point out that Sublinks will take a long time to be ready for production and to replace Lemmy. Some people seemed to think that its only a few weeks away. However this doesnt mean I want Sublinks to fail.

Moreover sublinks is not an alternatuve for lemmy and is more similar to mbin . They are litteraly reinventing mbin to make it look like lemmy UI which they hate ??? And have lemmy compatibility apps whuch wouldn’t work at all in my opinion because their very different platforms. But yeah good for them i personnely am here because i want the lemmy experience or else i would’ve gone to mbin people doesn’t seem to understand there is a difference between this two platforms .
