BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 7 months agoIf they already, essentially, cut off API access then it’s not a big leap to limit access on the web to logged in users only and rate limit or ban accounts that behave like scrapers.

That would matter more if it wasn’t trivial to make new accounts and very cheap to buy established ones.
