Exactly! I have less issues with ads than with stalking tracking , some ads are even sorta useful.

Facebook: Makes $42.34 per user globally, with US/Canada users valued much higher at $217.26. They recently offered an ad-free option for €9.99/month, suggesting a higher internal valuation.
The key thing to remember is that all ads are tracking, but not all tracking is ads. They make you pay to not have ads shoved in your face, but they are still harvesting all of your data.

I have less issues, not none :) There are sites that do this properly, eg the dutch tech site Tweakers.net - smaller ads no popups, no tracking, no flashing etc
