Comment on Aussie Zone 2023/07/23 Usage still growing but slowing. 539 Active users in the last month
lodion@aussie.zone 1 year agoJust for clarity, the aussie.zone’s finances etc are fine. I’ll be aiming to post monthly updates such as this every month. Thanks again to everyone that has contributed, money won’t be an issue for the foreseeable future for aussie.zone.
Since the post you linked to there have been many improvements in the back end of lemmy. Similarly the discovery that the bulk of storage consumption was due to a database table full of data that isn’t required. Due to this lemmy is scaling much better than it did early on. We can comfortably cater for many more users on the current server.
I’ve also been posting a series of nerd updates with recent server stats and some commentary. tldr; we’re in a good spot right now with no need to upgrade the server in the immediate future.

I’ve just arrived and are very happy (although we need more people posting in the bluey sub!). Will happily contribute.
BTW how do you link directly to a sub/community(?) in a comment?

You format it like this:
[series](https://aussie.zone/post/321431)
Here the word “series” links to the URL in the brackets. You can do this easily by selecting the word you want to become a link, then clicking the Image icon and pasting the link between the brackets it creates.

A community can be done with a exclamation mark. If you are using the website or PWA, it should automatically populate a list and you select there.
Here is me typing in !enviro:
