aBundleOfFerrets@sh.itjust.works 9 months agoFun fact, burning biomass is not very good as far as emissions go. In the US waste water treatment byproducts are typically methane and fertilizer, both bottled and sold. a much better place for all that carbon, imo.

It’s not burned. It goes to an Anaerobic Digester which produces electricity, gas and fertiliser.
