    You said it’s the democrats that love putting people into groups (based on race). Yet conservatives celebrate the confederacy:

    The point of the confederacy was to defend the institution of slavery, which is by definition a form of putting people into groups based on race. It is morally repugnant yet celebrated by conservatives today.
