I legitimately remember needing a compass at least once but could never figure out how to use those compass apps.

I know but it still didn’t make sense to me. No matter which way I pointed my phone, the compass showed north.

okay I understand but it wasn’t working. I could spin around in circles in the compass didn’t move. It always pointed “north” to the top of the phone. Even when I was pointing the top of the phone east or west or south.
