@FrancescaJ @bookstodon I remember when I read it, and was initially disappointed, because I had expected it to be more SF.

But when I realised it was - something else, I quite enjoyed it as a silly story, a romantic time travel story? I don't know, I think it fails to fit in a simple genre, which makes it hard to appreciate.

Not living up to the hype, agree. But an OK story.
