No it’s not overreacting. The UI is extremely confusing if you’re mainly using Discord desktop or tablet. Especially on foldable devices, it has become very buggy when switching UI because of 2 different designs and UX. Believe it or not, but most people use Discord are for Servers, not for DM. Discord best features is the distinction between personal hub and server. That is also the reason why Facebook separate Message into their own app. If you’re using DM a lot then of course you wouldn’t see the problem.
