Comment on An alternative perspective on Alien.top and the Fediverser project

I was always annoyed by the "LMAO everyone pathetic nerd stereotype" thing they did on Reddit, only partially because it assumed everyone was a man desperate for sex from a woman. Is this comment an attempt at a joke or a genuine assessment?

On another topic, I also remember hearing "the relationship advice subreddit is completely out of their minds" and all that stuff outside of the relationship advice subreddit itself—it's why I usually Googled articles about my problem or talked to human beings I knew in real life instead of asking on Reddit.

I used to go to fashion advice subs. Now, I still care about fashion but have figured out what I'm doing so I probably would not visit. I imagine another chilling effect is how fashion advice often involves pictures, perhaps of yourself, and the way the Fediverse works means it doesn't have to be the effort of one creepy individual to save and upload your stuff in the future, it's saved and reposted automatically so many servers that may or may not respect your delete request. It's the same reason I never posted any picture of myself on Reddit, but magnified by a ton.
