Dudewitbow@lemmy.zip 10 months agoWould make sense because laptop companies always push out new products for back to school, and usually cpu releases happen months before back to school to allow production to ramp up to account for the sales.

Honestly the biggest reason was that college kids are more likely to buy the accidental damage warranty or have parents that will.
