tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 1 year agoI’m not quite understanding your point. Should we stop educating most kids at 14 or 15? Then the prospects for them are starting full time work a few years earlier or something?

If education is really about basic knowledge, if they can demonstrate that basic knowledge at any age they should be free, rather than continuing to imprison them now for no point at all. Of course they could choose to study more if they wanted to.
