What I'm seeing right now is a world where free markets just don't really exist, at least at the high end of things. The biggest companies on the planet are actively breaking the law that they helped write, but because they're so big it gets basically ignored whereas those same laws are used to go after anyone who is not buddy buddy with the powers that be.
In this way, the winners are chosen in a sort of neo-feudalism. The power brokers parcel out parts of the economy to be controlled by certain people, and those people in turn partial out smaller pieces of the economy to the people or companies that are dependent on big tech, and then from there there might be individual surfs who are just working the digital land...
You get to see stuff like Peter schiff's Bank getting shut down by regulators despite breaking no law while FTX ended up running right up until they ran out of money. Alternatively, look at Twitter before and after Elon musk. He ended up out of his Lane as the designated electric car guy, and now all of his businesses are under threat by the US federal government.
