At least for my area, the danger is deer. A few years back, a deer rammed into the side of her car just a few yards from the driveway, not to mention how skidish they are with vehicles in general.

I prefer to drive at night, maybe if I didn’t live in a big city I might think differently. But, I’ve never had an accident, I rarely sit in traffic, cops generally have bigger shit to deal with at night so I don’t need to worry about speed traps or anything. I can’t think of any downside to night driving

1:30 to 3:30 is prime drunk driver time, in my area. This was when I was getting off work (11am to 3am shift). I hated that drive home. I drove a manual until the automatics’ fuel efficiency outweighed the cost of the automatics. I am an A-> B driver.
