Maybe because it’s a German show? It’s not true that Germans don’t have a sense of humor, it’s just that it’s a little different. If you can get into it, it’s a lot of fun.

It is a Canadian show with a few German actors. It’s from Newfoundland if I am not mistaken.

    It’s a fair point, German humour (or even just what lands in German - Dinner for One anyone?) can be a bit more dry and slightly odd.
