National debt's not really a Christian concept in my view, based on:
"Owe no man any thing, but to love one another." Romans 13:8
The lenders have successfully convinced the public that a national debt is good or necessary or whatever, and the love of money leads many into delusions that this is a good thing.

That's a really good point. For generations it wasn't even considered ok to charge interest at all, now people have been convinced it's the underpinning of all society.

yeah the interest is a whole other problem too
plus the debasing of currency
surprisingly a lot of people have no idea how these things even work
