The issue is that adverts built into the OS, and into browsers shipped with it, are regarded incredibly poorly. Regardless of the ease of bypassing them and how little impact they have, they simply should not be there in the first place.
Comment on Microsoft now pops up a poll asking why you'd want to use another browser when you download Chrome

Why does anyone care? Just ignore the poll and download whichever browser you want to use. If it was actually stopping me from downloading the other browser, then that’s a problem.
This is the same as an advert popping up. Just bat it away and carry on as normal.

I agree. But that won’t change anything. I hate adverts but they dont know, or care.

Asking why people care is not a complaint. The people that care are the ones complaining.
Stating that adverts dont know or care that i hate them is not a complaint. It’s a metaphor. I’m saying that you and eveyone else are not individuals with voices or opinions. You are just a big blob of money that isnt using edge. You mean nothing to them so your complaints are meaningless.

I didn’t realise 9/11 and ISIS were microsoft polls…
I also dont remember saying it would make it go away. It doesn’t affect anyone in any way. Altough it does trugger some people on here who then decided to compare microsoft begging people to use edge to a terrorist group and a terrorist attack on the wtc… wtf
