Explanation: In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was punished by the gods by being forced to endlessly roll a boulder up a mountainside, and then, once the boulder reaches the top, having it roll all the way back down. For that reason, “Sisyphean” is used to mean an endless or uncompletable task, especially a repetitive one.
I sure hope he’s done with his reps soon, I need to hit the boulder before the gym closes…

If I am not mistaken he never reaches the top. Instead the rock is enchanted to roll down on it’s own just before Sisyphus can get to the peak of the hill.
