For example, right now I’m using a mobile phone. Any illiterate person in my country uses it. We use cash, and so we need to rush to ATMs frequently. Even for card swiping, there’s still ui. Then we’ve got ticket vending machines for train and for metro. We’re growing heavily dependent on machines. So, more and more people would get jobs in the development and maintenance of newer gadgets. This is what l had meant by the market veering towards ui/ux.

My brother is a teacher. He teaches french and Spanish. He’s self employed. Whereas many teachers in government schools have been laid off and many foreign language teachers were thrown out of their job, my brother recently joined a school as a part time teacher. He uses technology in his researches, in conducting his classes and also conducts classes online. He’s a user of technology only. Which means, if he cannot use a certain product, he’d simply switch onto something different which he finds more convenient to use.

So more and more developers would be needed. And it need not be the structure of a big organised corporation. Even individuals collaborating on GitHub or codeberg can create great products.
