It might be more complicated than I realize, but it seems to me that some jackass looking for fame wrote a book designed to get banned, and when it was, they got a bunch of journalists to write articles about it.
And now a bunch of “useful idiots” come to the defense because John Oliver told them to, or something like that.
Honestly, I don’t yet know enough about the situation to give a proper response
Five seconds of searching the internet told me the author’s intended age group for that book was 16+. The person you’re talking to is spewing propaganda and bad faith arguments.
Thank you. I admit I was being lazy, but I leaned heavily toward something like what you said being the case.
A picture book for 16+? I doubt it, and even if it was, thats still not appropriate for a school library.
