  Because hypocrisy is irrelevant or sometimes even the point. Their goal is to say that our group good, theirs bad. When we do it, it’s OK. When they do it, it’s bad. Doesn’t matter what it is. We do good things, they do bad.

    Ah. Well you see I was raised to think that the US was an egalitarian society, that hard work leads to success, that people should be measured by their actions.
