It sure would be a shame if people got OpenTTD from their website then pirated TTD.

I would never do anything like that though.

There is no reason to pirate TTD at all:

However, it does not affect getting OpenTTD directly - only the GOG and Steam pages are being changed.

  If you want to use the graphics, sound and music from the original TTD in OpenTTD when you’ll need it.
