sveltecider@lemmy.ca 1 week agoAsking “what gender do you identify as?” isn’t tyranny and does not involve uploading your ID. Pretty much most services I know ask “what is your gender?”

Plus, I’ve never used a ride share before but if you say as a client “I identify as a woman”, and a female driver shows up to pickup another ‘female’ client and it’s obviously a group of dudes, couldn’t she flag them as false information?
Also not trying to trans shame, I’m literally married to a trans person.
